The Guru

The Guru is a wise old bird who sits upon his tree,
He smokes a fish of deepest red and plays chess with his knee.
And people come from many miles to hear his wisdom pearls,
From mighty humbled businessmen to brazen slips of girls.

The water stoat, the Guru says, should be the pet of kings,
And dressed all day in bacon grill and hula-hoops and rings,
A jewel adorn its snowy fur and sherbet for its crown,
And forty pairs of singing frogs should praise it upside-down.

But tell us please, oh Guru wise, the people did declare,
What we can do with stoaty stuff, oh tell us if you dare.
The Guru smiled, he blinked and eye, he said, my friends, you're thick,
And ate a Maynard's Jap Dessert then went to find a stick.

A Wise Old Bird

A nonsensical rhyme about an avian Guru’s profoundly ridiculous insights.
