Siggurd's Sausage
(An Orkney Tapestry after George MacKay Brown)

Peedie Inga bought a burger, bought it at the burger van,
Silly lassie, silly Inga, hadn't gone to find a man,
Siggurd nudged her with his hot dog, in the burger queue one night,
Inga dropped her buns and burger, ‘cause she got an awful fright,
Inga kneeling, on her knees lads, kneeling at the burger van,
Siggurd's sausage, fairly bouncing, oh he was a happy man,
Queuing at the burger van.

Don't Bite Off More Than You Can Chew

A poem about a visit to a burger van which is either very dirty or my judgment is being warped by too much exposure to Max's poetry. I'll let you reach your own conclusion.
